Our Safety Department is comprised of highly qualified professionals with extensive experience in construction safety management, regulatory compliance, workforce training, and health promotion. Through proactive leadership, comprehensive training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives, we ensure that safety remains at the forefront of every project.
Safety Leadership & Qualifications
- Dedicated Safety Management Specialist (SMS) and Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certified through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
- Over 22 years of construction safety experience overseeing company-wide safety programs and compliance initiatives.
- Team of five (5) experienced Site Safety and Health Officers (SSHOs) with extensive experience supporting NAVFAC, federal, Government of Guam, and commercial construction projects.
- A dedicated SSHO is assigned to every project, regardless of project size or HRP’s role as a prime contractor or subcontractor.
- Comprehensive employee training programs, including OSHA-related instruction, CPR/First Aid certification, equipment safety, hazard recognition, and regulatory compliance.
Employee Health & Wellness
HRP recognizes that a healthy workforce is essential to a safe workplace. Health and wellness initiatives are integrated into our overall safety program to support the physical and mental well-being of our employees and their families. By monitoring community health trends and promoting preventive care, we encourage healthier lifestyles and informed healthcare decisions.

- Annual onsite health screenings, physical examinations, blood work, and biometric assessments.
- Seasonal flu vaccination programs offered directly at the workplace.
- Health education and awareness presentations incorporated into monthly safety meetings.
- Smoking cessation and tobacco awareness programs.
- Employee and Family Health Fairs promoting preventive healthcare and wellness resources.
- Coordination of employee healthcare navigation, insurance education, and medical follow-up assistance.
